Daniela Lopez Henao - CAPPA

Daniela Lopez Henao

Masters Student

Daniela received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Colombia in 2019. During her studies, she worked on FTIR microbiological pigment characterization, colorimetry, and microbiological growth analysis using spectrophotometry. She completed her Master’s by research at CAPPA through the Walsh Scholarship program, under the supervision of Dr. Michael McAuliffe. Her research focused on detecting potential contaminants in milk samples using Raman spectroscopy. Daniela is now beginning her PhD, where she will investigate nitrogen detection in soil using spectroscopy techniques, supervised by Dr. William Whelan-Curtin and Dr. Venkata Vamsi B. Yallapragada.
