The industry-orientated research at CAPPA aims at providing photonics – based solutions to companies in a wide range of sectors. The activities span from collaborations with photonics companies looking for assistance in designing or understanding the physics of a new product to companies in sectors such as pharma, food manufacturing where photonics can offer powerful methods for quality analysis and process monitoring. Many of these solutions are based around spectroscopy, imaging and microscopy, sensing and detection, process monitoring, data analytics and optical and illumination.
