Gautham Vijayan

Gautham did his Marie-Curie double doctorate within the OPTAPHI network at Munster Technological University (host), Ireland and Politecnico di Bari (co-host), Italy where he worked on developing a silicon nitride photonic crystal hybrid laser for spectroscopic sensors. As part of the work, he developed several passive photonic devices (waveguides, couplers, Bragg reflectors, grating couplers, ring resonators, Fabry Perot cavities).
He joined CAPPA as a post doc in 2024 working on the design of high Q resonators for frequency combs. He is currently working on a post doc project to design Meta-lenses for neuromorphic imaging based in-cabin sensors for surveillance.
