Jarni Braal - CAPPA

Jarni Braal

PhD Student

Jarni received his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Physics jointly from University College Cork (UCC) and Munster Technological University (MTU) in 2021. This course was jointly operated by the universities and covered fundamental physics and practical industrial training. As part of this course’s work placement program, Jarni worked at the Centre for Advanced Photonics and Process Analysis (CAPPA) in Spring 2020, continuing onwards through 2021 for his final year project on 3D deconvolution and Z-Stacking for confocal microscopy. He is currently working on a novel absorption spectroscopy technique called “Dual Cavity Dual Comb Interferometry” (DC-COIN) at UCC under the joint supervision of Prof. Albert Ruth and Dr. Liam Lewis.
