Prachi Upadhyay

PROTEMIC MSCA Fellow / Ph.D. Student

Prachi is a PhD researcher in the PROTEMIC project, jointly based at Munster Technological University (MTU), Ireland, and Nanoplus Nanosystems and Technologies GmbH, Germany, working within the Centre for Advanced Photonics & Process Analysis (CAPPA). She completed her Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electronics in Ahmedabad, India, studying at St. Xavier’s College and the School of Sciences, Ahmedabad. She later earned a second master’s degree in Quantum Engineering from Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg, Germany. Her PhD research focuses on developing External Cavity Interband Cascade Lasers with high-speed, wide tunability for applications in photothermal spectroscopy and laser absorption spectroscopy for advanced sensing technologies.
